Shaping Our World 2023 STEM Careers Fair and Competition

Lateral was proud to co-create, sponsor, and participate in the Shaping Our World 2023 STEM Careers Fair and Competition, hosted by Langdon Park School for Year 5 students from neighbouring primary schools in Tower Hamlets. Organised by the Careers & Social Mobility team, the event aimed to inspire young students to explore STEM and life sciences careers.

The day featured interactive activities, business stands, and a Q&A session with a panel of STEM Ambassadors, including Angie Madara, Ben Knight, Bex Sherwood, and Deena Gibbons. Students engaged with hands-on equipment, asked questions, and experienced first-hand the possibilities of STEM careers.

The event brought together schools, STEM Learning UK, the University of East London, Crest Discovery Awards, and other partners to create a collaborative and inspiring learning environment. Lateral’s involvement demonstrates its commitment to fostering early interest in STEM and supporting inclusive pathways into high-growth sectors.
