Lateral shortlisted twice for Social Impact at the Life Sciences Awards 2025

We were proud to attend the Life Sciences Awards 2025 at the Hilton, where Lateral was shortlisted not once, but twice for the Social Value & Community Impact Award.

Our two shortlisted entries reflect the breadth of our commitment to inclusive innovation:

• Ignite Your Imagination: Your Future in STEM & Life Sciences – Delivered with H.I.G. Realty Partners, the LIFT programme, and Tower Hamlets Council’s Careers & Social Mobility team, this event inspired Year 5 students from diverse backgrounds across North & East London. Through hands-on activities, career talks, and interactive exhibits, it introduced pupils to the opportunities of STEM and life sciences careers, helping to build a more inclusive talent pipeline and tackling diversity gaps in high-growth sectors.
• Whitechapel Life Sciences Cluster Social Impact Strategy – Developed with Montagu Evans, Akou, and cluster partners, this pioneering 15-year framework sets out a mission-led, place-based approach to tackling health and economic inequalities in Tower Hamlets. Already delivering proof-of-concept initiatives like affordable labs, STEM engagement, and community wellbeing hubs, it offers a bold model for long-term, systemic impact through public-private collaboration.

While we didn’t take home the trophy this year, being recognised twice in such a competitive field reinforces our belief that life sciences development should drive positive change, create opportunities, and deliver lasting social impact.
