Camley Street: Partnership for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future

Date 10th October 2024

A major milestone has been reached for the regeneration of Camley Street, as Camden Council selects Lateral and Ballymore as its Joint Development Partners for the landmark Camley Street Community Investment Programme (CIP).

The project represents one of Camden’s most ambitious initiatives — a rare opportunity to reimagine a significant part of the borough through a partnership that places people, place and prosperity at its heart. Together with Camden Council, we will deliver new homes, affordable workspaces and employment opportunities that strengthen the area’s role within London’s Knowledge Quarter, supporting innovation, education and inclusive growth.

A key focus of the partnership will be fostering the next generation of science and technology enterprises — particularly within AI, life sciences and the growing convergence between the two. By creating flexible, affordable and sustainable spaces for research, collaboration and learning, Camley Street will play a vital role in supporting London’s position as a global centre for innovation.

For Lateral, this appointment marks an important step in our ongoing commitment to deliver developments that create long-term social and economic value. Our approach is rooted in collaboration and design integrity — ensuring that every project enhances its context and contributes positively to the communities it serves.

The Camley Street partnership reflects that philosophy: shaping a resilient, forward-looking neighbourhood that embodies Camden’s ambition for sustainable prosperity.
